Associated Press: A company sued Zion and his family for claiming that they owed 1.8 million loans to themselves.

Live broadcast, July 28, according to The Associated Press, Pelican player Zion Williamson recently involved a civil lawsuit. Zion and his mother and stepfather were taken to court by Ankr PBC company, claiming that they failed to repay 1.8 million of the 2 million-dollar loan. The company said that it provided 2 million dollars in loans to Zion and its families in September 2021and hoped that Zion would serve as their spokesman. Ankr PNC said in the lawsuit that they helped Zion carry out community activities and found a physical coach and personal chef for him. According to the lawsuit, Zion’s stepfather Lee Anderson said that they were in urgent need of the loan because they made expensive investments, including buying some real estate in New Orleans. Because Zion was injured, some of his sponsorship agreements temporarily stopped payment, so some of their investment projects could not be fulfilled. The lawsuit claimed that they had received only 500000 dollars at present, but about 300000 dollars was interest, leaving 1.8 million dollars to be repaid. During the off-season last year, Zion and Pelican signed an early renewal contract with a super top salary of up to 0.231 billion in 5 years, but it included an appearance guarantee clause.
